Where's the Lord Calling You?

Everything for christ.

Especially climbing

The Mission-El BÚho

El Búho is a ministry cafe located at the foot of the world-wide climbing destination of El Potrero Chico in northern Mexico. This coming year, I will be taking on the role of shop manager and ministry leader; serving both coffee and the Living Spirit to those who walk through our doors.

Whether visiting for just a few days, staying for months on end, or living in the area, individuals within the community recognize El Búho as a common gathering ground to escape the rain, drink coffee, get internet, and just hang out. Therefore, missionaries on staff have the perfect opportunity to share Christ's love with climbers and local Mexicans, while also serving their community through educational development programs.

About Me

Until recently, my life revolved around rock climbing and nothing else. It was one where I lived out of my car and pinched pennies to follow a sport that consumed me. It was one where I traveled the world, saw amazing places, climbed thousands of feet high, and met amazing people on the regular. But it wasn't until Jesus found me that I felt like I had real, fulfilling life. To summarize the present, I'd say my life is now Christ and climbing. In that order. That's who I am now.

So while I'm still in pursuit of climbing, I'm also psyched to share Christ's love with people wherever it takes me and however I can. I'm continually excited to grow, to listen to others' hearts, and to learn about the Lord. But above all I'm psyched to tell the world around me about this cool dude named Jesus.

Become Involved with my mission!

One of the most important things I've learned since choosing Jesus is the necessity of community and support. As followers of Christ, we aren't made to be alone, but rather to support one another, love one another, and encourage one another. As I continue my mission in Mexico and elsewhere, I need your help in the following ways:

  • Give Me Your Support

As a volunteer missionary in Mexico for eight months out of the year, I live on the financial support of others. I can't go out and spread the gospel without your help! Realize that your support is essential to my mission and by giving, you become a part of it!

  • Pray For Me

Being a missionary is extremely difficult and I'm constantly faced with difficult challenges. Over the course of the coming season, I'll be in constant need of strength, words, patience, and above all the Spirit of God.

  • Encourage Me

Too often the enemy uses discouragement as a tool to harm those who love the Lord. Reaching out to me with well-timed words could mean a world of difference. Send me an email, facebook message or even gimme a call! For the traveler, come down to Mexico and come visit! It's hugely beneficial for new and fresh community throughout the year.
